To a new start
Change is coming.
For those of you who already know Balanced Explorations, thank you for taking the time to read this post. You may have received an email from me where I shared that I have made the difficult decision not to sell travel. That doesn’t mean I can’t share my love of travel with you all. I do have a separate Substack called My love letter to the world. That one focuses on my personal experiences with travel. Some of it may overlap this one, so you might want to subscribe to that one as well.
1. Why now?
When I decided that I wasn’t going to sell travel anymore, it kind of shook my world. I had a whole website with lots of pages talking about different kinds of travel and a blog. I immediately hid most pages of my website and revamped the home page. I was reluctant to give it up because I get so many views on my blog over there. I have been getting on average about 16,000 views a month. But now, I realize that is not really how I want to continue moving forward. I just don’t know the timeframe—whether all of this will be done in a few days or over a period of a month or so. I’m going to start with pulling the blog posts from my website over to Substack, and then I will likely give up that website and use this one with my domain—Balanced Explorations.
2. Looking to build community
While I do have a Facebook group—also named Balanced Explorations—I would love this to also build a community of people. You are welcome to request to join my private Facebook group You can also find me on You Tube, although I don’t only talk about travel on my channel.
3. That means getting to know you, too.
Please let me know which posts interest you more and what you might want to see in the future, and more importantly, please subscribe if you haven’t already.
